wesley willis is something of an annomolly
rapper, country music singer songwriter, amazing artist,
fast food aficionado

 

i had the great privilege to go bowling with wesley,

kim, and chris (the filmmakers of a documentary on wesley)

in longmont colorado in 2001

i also saw him in concert in boulder and was touched by his 

ability to cut through the bullshit we all expect from each other

while talking and interacting 

he latched right onto me and made me go through the process

of reciting what he says...

"say rock"  "say roll"

followed by a series of headbutts...

scary at first but afterwards when you're in his world

its very very gratifying
